Anime North 2012

This past weekend was Anime North 2012! It’s an anime convention held in Toronto, Canada. This is my first time attending a con so I had no idea what to expect. My goal is to find Sailor Moon collectibles of course! I saw quite a few things, some old some new, but nothing too exciting. I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to take pictures in the dealers room so I only managed to snap a couple shots!

In the first picture are some Irwin dolls, the seller wanted $60 each for the taller ones, which is way overpriced! In the second picture are some animanga &  artbooks. Prices: $450 for Materials, $350 for Vol. V, $250 for Vol. IV, $200 for Vol. II and $150 for Vol. I. Once again insanely overpriced!

As you can see a lot of items were overpriced, but I was still happy to see Sailor Moon items in person! Some of the new GE items you can buy cheaper on eBay but when you take shipping costs into consideration especially for 5 gigantic body pillows, it’s actually slightly cheaper at the con. Thankfully the sellers were nice and held my items until the end of the night, there was no way I could carry 5 body pillows + 3 wall scrolls with me! Overall it was a fun experience, I think I would want to go again next year!

    Wow amazing I’m sorry I missed it this year, will you be at Anime Revolution in August you should join their dealers room. Its their 20th aniversary Sailor Moon event it would be great to buy lots of Sailor Moon stuff there. Amazing, so do you ship I’d love to order some stuff from you. Unless I see you in Vancouver first 😉 (wink)

    I am Sailor Moon’s biggest male fan I went to Anime North, saw all the merchandise above AND bought a keychain for my sister, a plushie for myself, AND, also for myself and now my prized possession, a Sailor Moon body pillow! (out of my own money FYI) Hey its the closest thing to sleeping with the real Sailor Moon (except getting a hooker to dress up like her for you, but prostitution is illegal) so screw off haters!!! N

    You’ve got an excellent collection and a beautiful website here! I see in the second picture of the things you purchased you have two transformation brooches in packaging I’m not familiar with- they look really spectacular, especially the one on the right. Do you have any information on them? I’d love to learn more :3

    Also, in your collection you show this stunning replica of chibiusa’s time key on a necklace along with the silver crystal. Was that handmade? I’ve been looking for replicas of it – the real deal is just way too expensive- and in my opinion the one you have looks better than the real deal.

    I hope you don’t think I’m trying to steal your collection, but I really would love to own some wonderful representations of the show I’ve loved since I was seven :3!

    Wow. Good haul. In past years where I’ve attended I didn’t find much in the way of Sailor Moon goods at Anime North. Can’t wait to find a Sailor Mars body pillow.

      Thank you! I guess I was lucky! There are some on ebay right now, but with shipping they’re pretty expensive. Hope you can find one soon!
