When GE released the new Star Locket necklace last year, it received mixed reviews with a lot of the negative ones being related to quality issues. So it is great news to hear that they have made some minor changes and improvements to the necklace!
The biggest change is a sturdier bail, and it now has fewer to almost no ‘light scratches’. Overall production quality has improved. (Just a quick note, the colour is the same as before, it’s just the photo!) For those of you who already bought one, will you be buying this improved version? And for those of you who haven’t bought it yet, will this persuade your decision?

LOVE that they are changing it!! I will def be buying the new and improved version only after I look at some reputable reviews online from some fellow moonies!
No. They’ve delayed the item and now “improved it” and left out the biggest complaint, it doesn’t open.
I don’t care that it doesn’t play music, but for $12 and shipping I want it to open.
Honestly, Forever 21 lockets are smaller, cost $3, and don’t tarnish THAT easily (oh yea they tarnish, but it at least takes a couple weeks of continuous wear, I just read a review that it tarnished after the person wore it for one hour!)
Where do you buy these?
I bought my older version brand new from Amazon. They’re also on HotTopic (online only) or used on eBay. You can also buy it online from random moonies (YouTube or FaceBook), but I wouldn’t suggest buying an already used locket. They tend to be scratched up a lot (so says a lot of moonies),
As a fan of Sailor Moon, I’d buy the upgraded one just so I can hang it next to the older one!! ^_^
