Details on the Sailor Moon Figuarts ZERO & First Coloured Photos!
More details and fully coloured pictures of the Sailor Moon Figuarts ZERO were released today! As previously mentioned, this figure will not be articulated, which means her limbs don’t have joints and do not move. This figure is 1/8 scale, which measures around 22cm tall. The scheduled release date is March 2014. Retail price is 8,800yen. Once there are preorders open, we’ll definitely post the links here so check back soon!

I want to like it…I really do…something just doesn’t seem right about it. Her face seems kind of…off…does anyone else feel like they are just trying to churn out as much as possible to get our money? I saw the GE Sailor Moon figure and it looked terrible for the price. I am not saying this Figuarts ZERO figure is terrible, but I don’t think it is worth what they are asking for. I would have liked to see some face sculpts like the Megahouse Cutie Models. 🙁 The Megahouse Cutie Models (in my opinion) look a lot better and were much cheaper than this as far as their original price went. I am not sure if it is her face or the pose they chose, but I’m not sold on it yet. 🙁

Not as excited for this as I thought I would be when the prototype was first revealed. My main gripe is that the skirt and the bows are too shiny, it looks rather tacky to me. Why they felt the need to give every part of her outfit a glossy finish is beyond me.
I may pick this up if it goes on sale, but this doesn’t feel like an absolute “must have” to me.
