I don’t know about this one. I can’t watch it & aside from the first volume (music box) the collectible value seems quite low? They’re bound to release bigger art books & a DVD collection with more or all the episodes. Granted the packaging & charms are *gorgeous*, but I’m not sure it’s worth the asking price. At least not for more than one or two :/

    • Samantha

Try changing the lighting. I’ve found mine doesn’t work until I turn the light bulb on -_-
I assume you’ve already turned the screw to get it to work initially.

  • Rina

This collection is so pretty!!! I want to get it but I’m very confused about the Region coding for the Blu-ray. Some websites and ebay descriptions say it’s Region A but CD Japan and other ebay descriptions and websites say it’s Region-free?

I live in Australia so I really hope it’s Region-free TT____TT. I want to get this so bad. So much for airing Sailor Moon Crystal across countless countries but not giving us oversea fans a chance to grab this.

  • Venus

So when I buy the first limited bluray set do I get the charm and the braclet ? And what else will be with the bluray? I am so confused with all these dofferent releases >.<
    please help me !!

    • Lulu

Depending where you order, you may OR may not receive a poster.
you are for certain getting the Bluray (episodes 1 and 2), 1 charm, 1 bracelet, seems to be an artbook, music box and an application to get the large storage box (but you require all 13 applications, 1 from each episode / or each LE bluray set in order to get the music box and you must have someone living in japan get it for you)

  • Usagi

im going to die!!!!! I want the collector booooooooooooooooooooxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I can not afford to buy the entire Blu ray set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

    • Lulu

I know what you mean!! I bought Vol 1 just because I thought it came with the box too :'( I mean I would’ve also have purchased 1 and 13 if those were the only 2 required (plus the music box was an added bonus), but apparently you need 1 – 13 inclusive!! that just broke my heart since I can’t cancel my order and I paid through deputy (so paying extra deputy charge on top of shipping)

  • Simon

I ordered from Amazon Japan, but it only gave a rough translation. I bought ‘Anime “Sailor Moon Crystal” Blu-ray [Limited Deluxe Edition] 1’. So this is only the first volume and NOT the entire series correct?

  • Mimi

I would have considered buying it if it had english subs (it’s not even my mother language!) but it’s weird this doesn’t include any subs considering they already have them in different languages for every episode (couldn’t they just add those files??).
    Anyway I just ordered the first LE Blue Ray edition because I want those goodies LOL;
    Won’t be buying the rest.

  • hachi

I’m not sure if this is in the comments but J-list is offering to send your tickets to get the deluxe box( you have to pay your own postage though).

They are taking preorders until August 3rd.

  • Vivian

jlist put up the pre-order for Sailor Moon Crystal vol. 1 and this is from their description:

But wait, there’s more! Each First Limited Deluxe Edition volume will contain a special ticket and when you collect all 13 tickets you will receive a super special huge collector’s box where you can store all 13 Digipack boxes and the Bag Charm + Sailor Moon Straps. To receive the collector’s box, please send all 13 tickets via mail to J-List (you will have to pay for postage) and J-List will send the collector’s box via express shipping (free of charge).

So if you buy from jlist you can get the collector’s box if you’re not in Japan. You just have to pay jlist price.

  • Vs

So, in order to get the box that holds all volumes we have to send the ticket from only vol. 1 and 13? Not from vol. 1-13, right?

    • Mimi

I would have considered buying it if it had english subs (it’s not even my mother language!) but it’s weird this doesn’t include any subs considering they already have them in different languages for every episode (couldn’t they just add those files??).

  • wicked kitty

To make sure i understand. To get the music box and braclet you have to be in japan right? Cant get it sent to usa.

    • smcollectibles

No, if you order Vol 1 you get the music box and the chain, if you order from CDJapan or through a deputy they can mail it anywhere.
The only thing that you have to be in Japan for is the box that holds all 13 volumes.

  • Sirena R

Haha I need some friends in Japan !!
I’m named after Serena (usagi) and I’m absolutely in love with this anime/manga
So is my sister (she’s the reason I share the same name)
    She named her daughter Luna
I plan to name mine (when the time comes) Rini
Gahh I need sailor moon back in my life

  • Brittany

I can understand the first $80 for the music box and bracelet, but the additional disks should be way cheaper than that. I’ll stick to buying the original series…

  • Bria

Ah! I would only be able to buy three or so, if I really worked hard… Do they say which ones come with what? Like what are the requirements to get the music box v. The bracelet?

  • SailorDJMoon

Actually only Japanese residents will get the storage box by sending tickets included in volumes 1 and 13 of the limited edition Blu-Ray. Which sucks.

  • Emily

When pre-ordering from CDjapan, do they take the money from your account right away, or do they wait till the item ships like some websites do?

    • Julio Code

Hi, I buy all from CD Japan and they charge my card when they ship, but I order two by two and I receive some points that I use to pay the Soundtracks and I receive all the fabric posters too
Each box (2-13) come with a little charm, an art book and the Box 1 (golden bracelet) and 13 play music when you open them
I send the application card yesterday, because they told me that if they don´t receive the card before Nov 4 they can´t got the Special Box for me.

Once they got the box they send it to me by EMS tracked (I will pay the shipping costs of course)
I like CD Japan because they ship your goodies very well and the boxes arrive fast and they ship even everywhere (I live in Mexico)

  • Aoichou

So wait…it’s going to be almost $1000 to buy all of the deluxe editions? H…how is ANYONE going to scrape together that kind of money?!?

Maybe they’ll do a similar release in the US where they’ll combine it all into one super package for like $500…

      • Alita

Luckily you can do COD and since it comes monthly it’s only one blu-ray price a month. I’ve already pre-ordered the whole set.

And yeah, I hate modern anime. This isn’t a new thing, this is just a thing. Anime comes only 2 episodes per disc even though you could fit around 10 or more on a blu-ray even HD.

        • smcollectibles

Would you know if they’ll limit getting the special box 1 per address?

Yeah I’ve been told by different people it’s the norm, still hurts though ;-; the packaging is going to be so beautiful!

        • twinzluvagrl

OMG. it’s gorgeous and you’re super nice 😀 haha but yeah its super expensive. the plus side is atleast its only $80 or so per month if you look at it that way… you’re financing the whole boxset over like a years worth of time. And are they limiting the deluxe boxset/music box? the whole mail in thing seems super complicated.

  • Lola

Please tell me the deluxe Bluray DVD will come with english subtitles ?! I really want the set but it wouldn’t be worth it to me if I can’t understand anything 🙁
