Princess Serenity Pullip Doll!
It’s actually happening..a Princess Serenity Pullip doll! After the announcements of the Sailor Moon, Mercury and Venus Pullip dolls, a lot of fans (myself included) was hoping for a Princess Serenity one. Pullip dolls usually have beautifully designed and high quality dresses and we’ll finally get to see that with this doll! She is very elegantly made, with pearls, lace and chiffon decorations! The doll is different from Sailor Moon’s because this one has a crescent moon on her forehead. She measures around 31cm tall. The retail price is 18,360 yen and she is scheduled for release in December 2014, there’s a chance she’ll arrive on time for Christmas this year! The following is included when you order her from any store: flower hair ornament, pearls hair ornaments, bracelet, stand and a profile card. When you order from Premium Bandai there is an exclusive silver crystal necklace bonus included!

I just check the CDJapan website and it is listed as out of print. I can’t find it on J-List at all. I don’t know much about Asian BJDs but I would have thought that they would keep making it since it seems so popular or is that not the way it works. (Sorry this is probably a really obvious question…)

I’m just curious, do these dolls go up in value over time? I do plan on buying the doll especially since the price was cheaper than what I was expecting, but I would be heart broken to see if in a year or two I can buy this doll for maybe 150$.

It depends on the doll, really. There are some Pullips that pull over 3-4x their value nowadays because they are in such high demand. It’s too early to know how the Sailormoon ones will do long-term, but I expect they’ll probably be similar to the Rozen Maiden collabs, which are going for about 1.5-2x original price on eBay (6 years after release).

It depends on how rare or available that doll is, for example, i just got a hatsune miku pullip (which is not too difficult to get) and seems to have stayed around the 145-200 $ range after about 3 years of being on the market.

I am so excited they are making a Princess Serenity doll. I almost thought they were going to make her dress atleast for the original doll, but so happy they are making her as a whole doll with her crescent moon on her forehead. As an owner of her original doll I know this one will be just as nice as her.

I don’t think this doll will be released in time for Christmas. So far no dates have even been revealed.

The blonde on this looks MUCH nicer than the blonde on the Sailor Moon Pullip. Her hair in general just seems to be done much nicer, I didnt pick moon up, but I will be for sure grabbing Serenity

Too early to say, if it follows the other 3 then there will be a Premium Bandai exclusive and then the regular version will be available at other shops!

I’m not sure why, but I love the look of this one way more than with Sailor Moon’s. Sailor Moon’s proportions just seemed too exaggerrated, but they work better with Serenity.
