Sailor Moon Crystal x Kanzashiya Wargo Hairpins
Here comes a new fashion collaboration with Sailor Moon Crystal and Kanzashiya Wargo (かんざし屋wargo). The first style is made with lots of shiny sparkling beads. It’s very delicate and ornamental, like jewelry for your hair. The chain is removable and comes with a compact or transformation item motif. You can use them separately from the hairpin. You can form a variety of hairstyles using the longer and shorter end differently. The retail price for this style is: Moon (8,900 yen), Mercury (8,600 yen), Mars/Jupiter (7,900 yen), Venus (8,200 yen).
The other style is modeled after the senshi’s tiaras. In the center is a cut glass stone that’s bright and sparkly. On the back, a pattern of the five senshi planet symbols are engraved on it. This hairpin is kind of small so it’s easy to use. The retail price for this style is 6,900 yen each.
The hairpins are made of brass, so they’re shiny and polished with low maintenance. These are scheduled for release on June 24, 2016.

It costs $158 USD for EACH!? ON EBAY!?!? What are they THINKING?! I could understand if it was out of semi-precious materials, heck or even just for display, I would consider buying one or two for work to try keep my 3ft + hair in line (don’t ask I am running out of options with styling it and looking cute and/or sophisticated.) But for $158 US dollars?! I hardly have enough money to pay for college let alone a decent wedding gift for my sister! So I guess I will wait for everyone else to flood the market and HOPE the price drops in three years.
