SAILOR MOON COLLECTIBLES

Kodansha took some time today to answer some burning questions about the Sailor Moon artbook! Here’s what we learned:

• all the artbooks are being printed in Japan
• when they get their copies, they will post pics
• they will notify us when preorders are up
• they don’t know (or maybe can’t say) what the other 5 countries are yet
• when asked if the bonus material will be different for all countries, they answered “I thought every country was getting their own different bonus art? In other words: gotta catch ‘em all, Moonies!” (how awesome is that Pokemon reference? XD but on a more serious note..*gulp* there goes our money!)

Kodansha also revealed they will be hosting a giveaway on Tumblr tomorrow, May 1, with Sailor Moon prizes! The prizes include manga, pins, calendars and posters. The giveaway is open to USA & Canada. You can find their Tumblr here: http://kodanshacomics.tumblr.com/

They will also be hosting a Twitter trivia contest but that is scheduled closer to the release date of Sailor Moon manga Vol. 11.

We’re slowly getting more and more pictures of the new Sailor Moon S.H.Figuarts! Here are some magazine scans/images. Also we have official word that an article with detailed product information will be featured in Dengeki Hobby Magazine’s June issue 「電撃ホビーマガジン」! More photos of the new Sailor Moon S.H.Figuarts have been released. In these pictures we can see what the Moon Tiara effect accessory really is! Also it will come with 2 Moon Sticks because one has a crystal while the other does not. They also clarified the hair is clear at the ends for enhanced realism.

Last we heard about the new 2013 Sailor Moon artbook was when Kodansha announced it back in October 2012, since then it’s been silent. I decided to send them a quick tweet to see what was up! Kodansha’s response is kind of a tease!! I wonder what “fun things” they are planning?! Any theories Moonies?! But now we at least know we have to wait until late 2013 for the artbook!

So what do you guys think? Personally I think she looks amazing in these new pictures! The figure looks very detailed and high quality, her face is adorable, and I especially like how they kept the details of her brooch! How many will you guys be getting?
