NEW Sailor Moon & Outer Senshi Lip Rod, Talisman & Wands Pen Pointers!
Premium Bandai will be releasing 6 different pen pointers featuring the Spiral Heart Wand, Pink Sugar Heart Wand, Sailor Uranus & Sailor Neptune’s Lip Rods, Sailor Pluto’s Time Staff & Sailor Saturn’s Glaive. Each comes beautifully packaged with a large window so you won’t have to remove them to display. The pointers extend up to 36cm. They come in pairs, each pair is 2,808yen. Scheduled release date is May 2014.
Premium Bandai is accepting preorders from now until March 24 (EDIT: they’ve now sold out, I guess the volume was so great they couldn’t handle it and closed. The good news is they added a sentence saying they’re considering doing a second preorder run). You can get them here, here & here. (EDIT #2: First round of preorders have closed, second round preorders are here, here & here. These have a scheduled release date of June 2014.) If you live in Japan you can order directly from PBandai, if you live outside Japan you’ll need to use a deputy service. Unfortunately there is a quantity limit of 5 so after deputies reach the 5 limit, they won’t be able to order more. Like the first set of wand pointers, these are also made by Sun-Star. It is not known why these are sold through PBandai instead of general stores/stationery shops but they are confirmed to be Premium Bandai exclusive. Other shops won’t be able to stock these, maybe a handful if they buy to resell.

all the preorders on ebay in Japan were sold out. the seller cancelled mine because he didn’t know how to do it. I ordered from another cheap seller the whole set ! so I don’t mind the cancellation because I have them all cheaper now ^^ gl everyone with getting your preorders.those are even ‘rare ‘now lol.

Yes there is a chance they’ll do a third preorder run, you’ll have to keep watch and be quick though because the 5 qty limit will still be in place (if you’re using a deputy).

Now ball parking around 60-80 for a set on eBay US. Such a shame with the deputy unit. International fans are a lucrative market Sun star should consider. Saturn and Pluto pens are beautiful.

But flippers can only list items that much higher than retail if there are people willing to pay more than they are worth…and sadly those people exist. $60-$80 for a PEN that retails around $27/$28? It’s not just these, it’s all new SM items. If it was retailing for $60 okay fine- that’s insanely expensive, but retail is retail. The more people are willing to overpay and the more people willing to overpay, the higher flippers can mark things up.

Reliable yes. Overcharges in fees? Also yes. They are selling them at a $20 mark-up, but then you have to add in fees for bidding/buying, paypal fees, and shipping from the seller to them, then shipping from them to you.

I tried to preorder it while it was available, and sadly you have to have an account on their website. Even more depressing is that you have to actually live in Japan if you want to order it. So -unless you know someone in Japan- you can’t buy it :<

I had a seller with 19 feedback because he was the cheapest with free shipping ! but do you know deculturejapan? he does this also and had it for 60 dollars.i preordered the mirror compacts from him for only 40 dollars!

I’m really frustrated with the “Premium Bandai” line. Its very difficult to get any products I want due to order limits and it really breaks my heart that all of these gorgeous items are pretty much unavailable to the massive global fanbase (unless you can get a deputy service). I wish Bandai would take into consideration just how many people love the show internationally. I really hope the re-release these…I want the Neptune and Uranus set really badly!

You can usually order with a deputy service, but because this is limited to 5 only I’m not sure how you can buy them now as the 5 slots are most likely taken up.

If they’re 2,808 ($28-ish) yen for TWO, and flippers are charging $80/$90 that’s 3-4 times retail. I don’t think too many people want to or can afford to pay $60 more than it’s worth, or pay $80 which would be the price of 3-4 sets of 2. Even with fees, a deputy service would be less expensive.
