Sailor Moon Crystal Black Moon Art & Original Soundtrack
Today at the Animate Girls Festival 2014 the second half of Sailor Moon Crystal was revealed! This isn’t a new season but the back half of the current season will focus on the Black Moon arc. This storyline is scheduled to start in January 2015. In this new key visual we see Sailor Moon with her Cutie Moon Rod and of course Sailor Chibimoon with her Time Key! Which character are you most excited to see? Personally I can’t wait for art of NeoQueen Serenity!
It was also announced that a Sailor Moon Crystal original soundtrack will be released on December 24, 2014! There are 2 discs and it will include 54 tracks. The retail price is 3,000 yen.

IIRC the Dark kingdom arc directly links to the black moon arc in the manga. So on SMC it would be easier for them to do so. And since they focus on the manga, 26 eps would be way to much space for 13 chapters?
So excited about black moon arc, they wil actually be going to nemesis!!!
Chibimoon looks quite nice there, though I hate her in the old anime.
But I forgot if she’s already a senshi in black moon or not. Remember Chibimoon showing up in Sailor Moon S

Everyone, STOP IT! Don’t use acronyms! 90% of people don’t know what the hell you’re saying! Whoo-hoo! Hope for the future designs of the other Sailor Guardians!!! I have a happy! 😀 I am just a bit concerned for the villains. I love the redemption the Four Sisters received and the romance between Saphir and Petz in the 90s anime!

CHIBI MOON LOOKS SO CUTE OH MY GOD. o_o’ I’m so happy they’re going to be covering this arc and going with the manga’s pace. I’m excited to see Pluto, Black Lady, and how creepy Wiseman will be.
Now I’m just kinda sad cause I feel like there won’t be a legitimate season two haha, I really want them to do the entire manga. 🙁 But I’ll take what I can get.
I’ll probs download the soundtrack unless any of these sites are going to offer some cool bonuses??

Now I’m a bit worried/ What do you mean “won’t be a legitimate season two”? I have not read the manga all the way through, but aren’t they following the manga to the letter? It states above that they are picking up where they currently left off, so they aren’t things going in the right order?

Maybe it is because both the Dark Kingdom Arc and Black Moon Arc focuses greatly on the power of the Silver Crystal that they made “Sailor Moon Crystal” consist of two Arcs rather than dividing the both of them into separate seasons. That, or by following the manga they found they have more space to fill, thus making what would typically be story lines for two seasons instead being placed completely into one. Which means, the Black Moon Arc is not a second season, because it is still a part of the first season.

i feel that the writers from the start already planned till the black moon arc.
Simply because at the beginning, they already showed the cutie moon rod in the “to be continued” artwork.
In fact I’m quite positive they will do the third arc too. If u ovserve catefully at te Art work of the “wheel” behind neo queen serenity… U will find saturn a logo there… And the other outer ones too..

I often wondered about the title of the new sailor anime regarding the word “Crystal.” I first thought maybe each arc would have it’s one unique title. But now I am thinking the entire anime series based on the manga, especially if they go all the way through the Galaxia arc and even include all the short stories, will be called Sailor Moon Crystal.
I agree the word “crystal” is putting a strong emphasis on the Silver Crystal too. Just look at their ultimate transformation sequences. For example, Mars calls out… “Mars Crystal Power, Make Up!” Moon’s ultimate henshin phrase is “Silver Moon Crystal Power, Make Up!” And Moon’s last two attacks as Eternal Sailor Moon use the word “crystal” in it. “Silver Moon Crystal Power Therapy Kiss!” and “Silver Moon Crystal Eternal Power!”
If they wanted different unique name for the manga arcs, I would have thought they would have used “Sailor Moon Crystal” for the Galaxia Arc. “Sailor Moon Cosmic” / “Sailor Moon Planet” for the Deathbuster / Dream Arc with Hotaru / Mistress 9. “Sailor Moon Prism” / “Sailor Moon Star” for the current arc they are on now with the Black Moon / Metallia Arc. Keeping the theme of the henshin phrase key words.

Arielle, I think what they mean is that the Black Moon Arc will be counted as a part of season one. It most likely will be following the manga and I suggest to read the rest of the manga because it is soooooooo worth it! I loved every minute of reading it 🙂
